Brain Glitches.
We all have them, you know…
We step out of the mall, and suddenly realize we have no idea where the car is parked. We draw a blank on the name of an important business contact, right in the middle of making introductions to the boss. We forget phone numbers, lose sunglasses when they’re parked on top of our heads, and we call the kids by every name but their own: “Jackie-Jason-Leslie-Fluffy-Rover-Dammit-Hey-YOU!!”
We know we’re not stupid… but we are a bit embarrassed.
And sometimes?
We’re just a little worried.
Because those little brain glitches make us feel OLD.
And no matter what our age is, we’re too young to feel old, dangnabit!
But it’s not just evidence of advancing age that we’re worried about…
It’s the thought of an aging, failing mind that really scares us.

It’s a Crash Course in Brain Fitness.
Through a series of online lessons and worksheets, you’ll learn the basics of brain fitness, discover concrete steps you can take to maintain your brain’s health, and build a personalized brain fitness plan tailored to your life.
The lessons should take about 3-4 weeks to work through, and each lesson focuses on a different aspect of what might be called “the care and feeding of the human brain”, covering topics like physical and mental exercise, brain training software, diet, social activity, overall health, etc.
But more than just information, the lessons are designed to help you apply the information in your own life. Step by step, you’ll be walked through the creation of your own brain fitness plan - a plan that addresses your needs, and fits into your lifestyle. You’ll build a program you’ll know you can succeed with, because *you* designed it with the help and support of the community, and the course leader.
And Who Is This Intrepid Course Leader?
Well, that’d be me. Tori Deaux - author of the MindTweaks Blog. And when it comes the frustration of brain glitches? I totally understand. Boy, do I ever understand! See, I have a couple of extra glitch-factors, and when the “normal” mental declines of being mutter-forty-something-mumble-years- old was added into the mix? I just couldn’t take it anymore.

So I sifted through all the info on brain fitness I could find, and put together a plan that took about 30 minutes a day, and… It worked! My mood lifted, my focus improved, my ability to stay on task improved, and my short term memory came back on line. Even though I’d expected a change, the actual improvement astounded me.
But honestly? Slogging through the scattered material was a big challenge. I worried that those folks who most needed the information on brain fitness would be too overwhelmed to benefit from it. After all, when you’re suffering from memory loss and poor focus, it’s not easy to dig through piles of information (much of it in scientific studies) decide what’s relevant and what isn’t, then build your own brain plan and execute it.
So I started working on a solution for others.
So I’ve put together Brain Fitness Boot Camp, and I’m really excited about it.
When you sign up for the charter membership package, you’ll have access to the course for a full 3 months, so you can work through the material at your own pace. And you won’t be embarking on this journey alone, either… there’s a members-only forum where you can ask questions, stay accountable and find encouragement along the way.
Mind you, the information in this course is not medical advice, and does not in any waysubstitute for a proper exam, assessment or treatment from your doctor or neurologist ( in fact, an entire lesson in the course covers things to talk to your doctor about.) And I can’t promise you a healthier brain, a better memory, protection from Alzheimer’s, or a pony.
But I can promise that by the time you’ve completed this course, you’ll have a better understanding of how your lifestyle choices impact your memory and other cognitive functions, both now and in the future. And I can promise that I’ll do my best to help you make better choices, in regards to brain fitness and health.
