This Week’s Tweak: Caption the Cat!
*Ahem*
Ok, ok, stop laughing already. This is a serious tweak, dammit! Don’t you care about the plasticity of your brain, expanding your creativity, and so on? Oh fine. Keep giggling if you must.
Here’s your assignment.
Come up with at least three humorous captions for this photo… three because one would be just too easy. Edit: Ok, just one is fine - please? someone? anyone?
A few approaches to consider outside the obvious LOLcat approach:
Write it as a haiku, a mathematical formula, or in the style of a National Enquirer headline. Do it in iambic pentameter, imagine it as the front of a Hallmark Greeting card, the title of a show on Animal Planet.

Ha! I love the “Good stretch” one — that so fits her personality.
I’m so glad you accepted the challenge, Richard. I’m afraid I was reaching too far by asking for 3 captions. I’m officially lowering it to one - although you’ve set the example for what can be accomplished!
There once was a cat on the grass
Who tried to scratch his own ass
His leg was too short
For the scratch to import
So he settled for scratching his nose
Deep in the grassy syvannah the domesticus felinus is patiently waiting for the midget hyena to glance away before pouncing on it. His paw is poised for the final deadly blow.
“If you don’t get your head away from my butt I will swing my back paw and you will suffer from my deadly blow.”
ha ha I didn’t realize I used the phrase “deadly blow” twice until I posted this.
@whizmo I loved these… especially the limerick. And since this particular cat can impart a “deadly blow” with a half hearted drop of the paw, the repetition has been judged acceptable ; )

More of a limerick than anything…. but hey, it just flowed:
A cat lying in the grass all stripey
A dog close by making her hypey
A check of the gear, a ready paw so near
Rest in peace sweet doggy dear

The puppy has decided cat tails make GREAT tug toys. After a while, the cat had enough, chased her around the yard three times, then used her secret weapon…. she sat on the pup.
